~Tirupati becomes FLY91’s 13th destination, strengthening regional connectivity across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Panaji, September 2026: Pure-play regional airline FLY91 today commenced operations to the pilgrimage and educational hub of Tirupati, with Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu inaugurating the airline’s inaugural flight. The launch marks the addition of Tirupati as FLY91’s 13th destination and its third destination in Andhra Pradesh.

The new services connect Tirupati with Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, creating direct air links between the temple city and three important regional centres. The expansion further strengthens FLY91’s presence across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the airline now serves four destinations, making travel more convenient for pilgrims, students, business travellers and tourists.

FLY91 will operate a daily service between Tirupati and Hyderabad. The Tirupati–Vijayawada service will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, while the Tirupati–Rajahmundry service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation said, “Tirupati is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in our country. Every day, thousands of devotees from all corners of the nation visit Tirupati to seek Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy’s blessings. This added direct connectivity by Fly91 to Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Hyderabad will offer faster and more convenient travel options for devotees. And I am also working towards making special efforts to establish a direct air link between Tirupati and international destinations like Kuwait for convenience of devotees from various parts of the world.”

“Tirupati is an important addition to our network and takes us another step forward in building stronger regional connectivity across Andhra Pradesh. By linking Tirupati directly with Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, we are making it easier for people to travel between these important regional centres. For us, regional aviation is about creating practical connections that serve the everyday needs of the communities we fly to,” said Manoj Chacko, Founder, Managing Director & CEO, FLY91.

Tirupati is one of India’s most significant pilgrimage destinations, welcoming millions of devotees to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala every year. Beyond its religious importance, the city is also a major centre for education, culture, tourism and commerce in Andhra Pradesh.

The Hyderabad connection also provides passengers with seamless access to one of South India’s largest metropolitan hubs and its extensive domestic and international air network.

With the addition of Tirupati, FLY91 now connects 13 destinations across India: Goa (Manohar International Airport, Mopa), Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Agatti (Lakshadweep), Kochi, Hubballi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

The launch comes on the heels of another major milestone for the airline. Earlier this month, FLY91 signed a landmark firm order for 40 ATR 72-600 aircraft with French aircraft manufacturer ATR, one of the largest regional aircraft orders in Indian aviation. The order provides the airline with a long-term growth platform to expand regional connectivity and make air travel more accessible while supporting tourism, commerce, education and economic development across India.
